A Dead Sea

Kamel, a Palestinian man in his 50s, suffers from autism. He travels with his paralyzed sister to the Dead Sea to receive medical treatment in seawater in the hope that it will help him treat his psoriasis that has spread through his body. At the beach, he finds himself in an unpleasant situation. A little girl stole his rubber ball and Kamel tries to retrieve it.

Two sisters, who grew up Vietnam, were separated by the war between North and South. After the fall of Saigon in 1975, Thao, must leave the country with her uncle. Her sister Sao Maï remains with their parents, hoping they will soon be reunited. But their separation will last nearly 20 years, and the letters they exchange are their only way to connect and relieve their loneliness.
