crowdsourcing WORKSHOP

EVENT DATE: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2023 At 11am

Location: The Conference Center at the Main Library - Multipurpose Room
(Entrance from Main Street)

Event Description:

Any feature film has a ton of challenges, and one of the biggest is usually financing. When Marty Lang set out to make his feature film STAY WITH ME, he had a producing partner, their parent's house to shoot in - and not much else. So he turned to crowdsourcing and crowdfunding to help him get the majority of the resources he needed to make the film. In this workshop, Lang will walk you through the development, pre-production and production of the film, the Seed&Spark crowdfunding campaign he ran to raise post-production funds, and the current state of its festival run as a finished film. You'll learn how to identify your audience, build support for your production, and create a direct connection to the people who can help you make your story a reality.
