Description: Women’s Perspective was created in 2019 as a way to celebrate women in the film industry. This year nearly half of the films selected have a woman director or producer behind the film. Women’s Perspective Brunch is a chance to come meet and network with other women in the industry. It will be a casual (non-sit down) style brunch.
Sharon Y. Cobb
Sharon Y. Cobb is a member of Writers Guild of America. Her feature thriller, The Man in the White Van, co-written with director Warren Skeels, is scheduled for distribution in 2024. She has written other features that have been released such as June and Lighthouse Hill. Her TV movie for TBS, “On Hostile Ground,” premiered to high ratings. She’s written short films for 48 Hour Film Project filmmakers worldwide and won awards for many. Sharon is author of False Confessions of a True Hollywood Screenwriter, and Secrets to Writing A Killer 48 Hour Film Project Screenplay. She also contributed a chapter called Writing the Neo Noir Film to the book Film Noir Reader 2. She is a former publisher, editor, journalist, rock musician and race car driver. She began fiction writing after meeting Tennessee Williams when she lived in Key West.
